What is an ATS?
An applicant tracking system is the software most employers and job portals use to collect and search applications. It extracts the text of your resume into fields like name, jobs and skills, and recruiters search those fields.
Is this ATS checker free?
Yes. You can check a resume without signing up. A free account shows the full report and lets you check 5 uploaded files a month; your JotCV resumes can be checked any time.
How is the score calculated?
We read the actual file you'd send, the way an ATS does, and run more than 20 checks across readability, contact details, sections, experience, content, skills and length. Every point gained or lost is explained, and serious problems cap the score.
Can any checker guarantee my resume passes an ATS?
No — ATS products differ, so no score is a guarantee. Fixing the issues we find makes your resume easier for all of them to read.
Do you keep my file?
No. Uploaded files are read once for the check and not stored.
